Purple prose is a term of literary criticism used to describe passages, or sometimes entire literary works, written in prose so overly extravagant, ornate, or flowery as to break the flow and draw attention to itself. It is also my favorite color.
Hyperbole is a figure of speech in which statements are exaggerated. It may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression, but is not meant to be taken literally. It took me three years of majoring in English before I learned this term.
(Boring info borrowed from Wikipedia.)
My intent is a journal comic where I take real-life situations and rewrite them so that they actually work as something that might make you chuckle. So basically everything here happened, but not at all "like that."
I pencil draw everything, scan it, then do some quick and dirty coloring on paint. Yes, Microsoft Paint--it's classic. My "style" is bound to...not "evolve" but more like erratically alter based on mood, but I'll always probably come back to this cartoony thing influenced by years of reading manga in middle and high school. Yup, total nerd, right here.
